The National Youth social Corps (NYSC), Friday, said that a total of six corps members under Batch A would have heir service year extended in Anambra state.

The State coordinator of NYSC, Mr Kehinde Aremu, disclosed this at NYSC passing out ceremony held at the 21 local government areas secretariat some of which he monitored,  explained that the six corps members were penalized for various disciplinary offences.

Aremu, who congratulated 2870 corps members that successfully concluded the programme under the service year, urged them to be good ambassadors of the NYSC scheme by demonstrating the patriotic ideals and the entrenuership spirit imbibed during the one year national service programme.

According to him, utilising the various skills acquired during the NYSC programme was key to survival in the labour market as the era of waiting for white collar jobs or illegalities had gone.

He also urged the corps members to propagate the spirit of national integration and community service wherever they found themselves.
