The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Friday, inaugurated a campaign council for its candidate for Anambra State 2021 gubernatorial poll, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had in a press conference at Abuja on Thursday released updated lists of Governorship and Deputy governorship candidates including Soludo and his running-mate, Dr Onyekachi Ibezim who replaced Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji and Prof. Lillian Orogbu.

The campaign council is led by Governor Willie Obiano as a National Chairman, APGA's National Chairman, Victor Oye as Deputy National Chairman, Senator Victor Umeh (member), including Prof. Solomon Chukwulobelu (Director General), National and States Assembly members in the party, party officials, and 4200 members from the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.

Governor Obiano, while inaugurating the council charged them to work with unity for the victory of APGA at the November 6 poll, assuring that his administration's scorecard and other success recorded by APGA led government since 16 years would count for them.

Also speaking, the National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Ike-Oye, and his predecessor, Senator Victor Umeh, maintained that the party was on ground and would surely emerged victorious not minding the membership of campaign councils of opposition parties, their candidates and comments on the forthcoming election.

Earlier, Chairman of the inauguration committee and member representing Anambra East and West federal Constituency, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, urged the electoral umpire to conduct a free and fair poll which according to him, would result in APGA winning in all the 326 electoral wards and 21 Council Areas.
