“It is my delight to inform you that we are ready to commence our ICT drive with the unveiling of the 20 sets of desktop computers which I donated to the Council. The computers and their components have been procured and we have also inaugurated the Directorate of ICT to champion this cause.

“I wish to state that the major target for this initiative will be Anambra youths especially at the communities who wish to acquire ICT knowledge but for one reason or the other, are unable to,” he said.

He, however, noted that the Council faces a major challenge with logistics to accomplish the ICT drive.

“We appeal to spirited individuals, groups, corporate agencies and philantropists and politicians to assist us and procure a bus for us. This will go a long way in assisting us move the ICT equipment and personnel to the training centres across the state.

“We also have our vehicle that needs serious maintenance and the Council will also appreciate any assistance that will enable us repair it for smooth operation,” Obi appealed.
