Contribute towards Nigeria development, NYSC urges Corps members

 

The Director General of NYSC, Brig General MK Fadah has urged Corps members to make contributions towards the development of the country. The Corps members were also tasked on patrotism, hard-work , commitment and to build on the Skill and Entrepreneurial training already acquired at the Orientation Camp.


The Director General made the assertions through a nationwide address delivered during the closing ceremony of 2022 batch B Stream 2 Orientation programme. While presenting the address at the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Unity Permanent Orientation Camp Umuawulu/Mbaukwu, Awka South LGA today 09/08/2022, the State Coordinator Mrs Blessing Iruma who represented the Director General at ceremony said that Corps members must strive to meet the expectations of Nigerians by contributing to the progress and development of their fatherland.

While harping on the need for the Corps members to embark on the remaining months of the service year with the spirit of Patroitism and Commitment, the DG general stressed the need for them to work with diligence and also to be guided by the provisions of the NYSC ACT and Bye-laws.

Going further, the DG commended them on their performance during the SKill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development training on Camp and reminded them to build on it as it will go a long in empowering them for self reliance.

Earlier, in an introductory address delivered at the event, the State Coordinator Mrs Blessing Iruma told the Corps members that Anambra is NYSC friendly and also urge them to key into the 5 pillars of Administration of the Governor Soludo led Anambra State Government. She listed the pillars of Administration to include Security, Economic transformation, social agenda , governance , rule of law and environment . The Corps members were also charged to be good ambassadors of their homes, institutions , states and NYSC.The State Coordinator was respresented at the occasion by the Camp Director Mrs Ngozi Okeke-ekpe.

During the ceremony, certificates of commendation was issued to deserving Corps members , while letters of posting to the 21 LGAs of the State was issued to the Corps members.
