An unidentified truck on high speed, Sunday night, killed a woman and her little daughter at Enugu-Agidi, Njikoka Local Government Area, Anambra State.
According to an eyewitness, the incident occured at about 7.20pm along Onitsha-Enugu expressway when the red truck with no registration number rammed on the black Lexus RX330 with registration number KJA182HS, killing the mother and her baby, together with three adult males.
The eyewitness, alleged that the truck driver whose identify could not be ascertain at press time, was on speed, and later lost control and rammed into the Lexus SUV.
Confirming the report, the Acting Sector Public Education Officer, Anambra command's of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Miss Margaret Onabe, said the victims were taken to a hospital where they were confirmed dead and deposited in a morgue.
Onabe added that the FRSC rescue team from the Command managed the traffic and removed the obstruction caused by the crash.
"The Sector Commander Anambra State, Corps Commander Adeoye Irelewuyi has sympathized with the family of the dead victims and sends his prayers to the victims repose souls. He warned motorist especially truck drivers to avoid Speeding and ensure they keep to recommend speed limit," she added.
