The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has appointed Dr Queen Elizabeth Agwu as the new Resident Electoral Commissioner for Anambra state.
The INEC Head of Department of Voter Education and Publicity in Anambra, Mr George Edeani, disclosed this in a statement issued to journalists on Thursday.
According to Edeani, Dr Agwu has already assumed duties at the INEC Headquarters, Awka.
He explained that the new REC was received on arrival by the Administrative Secretary of the Commission,Mr Jude Okwuonu and other management staff.
