Soludo help us, threats of erosion at NYSC Orientation Camp in Anambra is real- Coordinator

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has reiterated it calls on Anambra State governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, to help the scheme address the ecological challenges threatening the State Permanent Orientation Camp by landscaping the environment.


The State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Blessing Ekene Iruma, made the call, Weekend, during the NYSC 2022 Batch C Stream One cultural carnival held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Unity NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Umuawulu/Mbaukwu, Awka South Local Government Area.


Iruma, who praised the governor for sustaining the existing relationship between the scheme and the State government, through various provisions, explained that the beauty and usefulness of the edifices built at the orientation camp would improve when the environments are not exposed to climate issues.


On the cultural festival, the State NYSC boss, described Anambra people as very accommodating, and urged Corps members to explore the State culture while maintaining Nigeria’s unity as a shared responsibility.


"NYSC introduced cultural festival to expose Nigerian youths to different cultures and languages in the country. It is meant to bind us together, and enable us appreciate the beauty, gains and strength of our country in its diversity. Kindly utilise the opportunity. We have enjoyed more supports from Anambra State Government and the Security.


" We thank Governor Chukwuma Soludo and all the security heads in the State for sustaining the relationship, and for the various supports they are giving to Corps members serving in the State. We want to appeal to the governor to help us landscape our environment that is currently threatened by erosion," she submitted.
