Soludo to transform general hospital to specialist service centre in Anambra

Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike, has said governor Chukwuma Soludo's administration would equip and uplift Enugwu-Ukwu general hospital to status of specialist service centre.

Obidike, who stated this while governor Soludo was inspecting the ongoing renovation of the General Hospital at Njikoka Council Area, revealed that the government would equip the facility with​ sufficient manpower and other equipment when completed.

According to him, there would be recruitment of four additional doctors, nurses, pharmacists, among other things with a view to making them good.

Earlier, governor Chukwuma Soludo revealed that his administration was investing on human capital development, having hired about five thousand teachers and over three hundred health personnel shortly after taken over as chief helm of the State.

He further explained that his administration focused on building people and infrastructure because human capital, according to him, remains the foundation of any society desirous of growth and development.
