As Christians prepare for Easter celebration, the Deputy Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chukwuma Okoye has charged them to showcase love and kindness to the populace.Okoye, who stated this in a goodwill message while presiding over the Assembly prior to Easter break, also urged the citizenry to celebrate with their families and loved ones while upholding the values that make Anambra the Light of the Nation.According to him, Easter is more than just a holiday but a profound reminder of love, sacrifice, renewal, and hope.Okoye, who represents Awka South Constituency 2, argued that it was a time to reflect on the enduring values that unite the people which should include compassion, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to the common good. He added that the message of Easter inspires Christians to look beyond their individual interests and embrace the spirit of service, peace, and unity.The Deputy Speaker commended the law makers for their dedication, sacrifices, and tireless efforts in advancing the legislative business of of Anambra state.He stated that the partnership in shaping policies that uplift the people is deeply appreciated, and expressed the confident that together the 8th Assembly shall continue to build a stronger and more prosperous Anambra State. Okoye also thanked the management and staff of the House, for their unwavering support and professionalism which remain the backbone of daily legislative operations. The Deputy Speaker extoled his constituents for their continued trust and support while assuring them that he will remain steadfast in his efforts to bring development, empowerment, and lasting change to the communities.The House adjourned plenary till the 29th of April 2025.
