The Traders of Ogbaru Main Market in Ogbaru local government council of Anambra State, have declared their total support for the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo come November 8, 2025 governorship election in Anambra state.
Their endorsement, was announced on Friday 2nd May as the traders marks the 40th years anniversary celebration. The endorsement according to them was attributed to the governor’s strides in improving security and infrastructure across the state.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Ogbaru Main Market, Chief Dr. Ndubuisi Ochugo, said the traders’ support was rooted in a desire to consolidate on the progress made so far under Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.
“Our endorsement is in line with our collective aspiration for a better Anambra and Nigeria at large. The governor’s visible achievements in security, infrastructure, and governance speak for themselves. It is only proper to support his continuity,” Chief Ochugo stated.
He assured the governor of the traders’ unwavering support and called on others to join in helping him achieve his developmental vision for the state just as he described the governor as God’s gift to Ndi Anambra.
Also speaking, Hon. Evaristus Uba, Senior Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade and Markets; Chief Chineye Ihenko aka Okpopi, the Operational commander of Agu-nechmba security outfit in their different and familar speeches commended governor Soludo for his laudable achievement particularly for restoring peace and security in Anambra state. “The era of sleepless night caused by insecurity is over, governor has renewed people’s confident in government Chief Ihenko further stated”. The operational director reassured that the security outfit will never relent in making sure that Anambra state remains the safest state in Nigeria.
Chief Jude Nwankwo, Chairman of the International Building Materials Market, Ogbunike in his own speech commended governor Soludo’s administration for restoring peace and security in state which according to him has made it possible for their customers to return back they by making their business to boom again.
They urged voters across the state to give massive support to the governor and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) during the upcoming election so that the governor could finish the good work he has started.
The motion to endorse Governor Soludo was formally moved by the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, and seconded by the Chairman of Board of Trustees Ogbaru Main Market, Chief Joseph I Ejinson. Chief Ejinson further applauded the chairman of the market Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu for restoring peace and development in the market and urged him not to relent.
