The Governorship candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mr John Chuma Nwosu has picked the former Anambra State Chairman of PDP, Dr Ndubuisi Nwobu as his running mate ahead of November 8 poll.

Nwobu, who has also served as a former Chairman of Awka South LGA, has accepted the offer, expressing deep humility and gratitude to the party for the opportunity.

According to him, it was a “solemn call to duty” and a “historical moment” that underscores the responsibility to serve the people of Anambra State.

Nwosu pledged to build a government anchored on transparency, accountability, inclusivity, and sustainable development.

He vowed to listen to the voices of the people, uphold their rights, and work tirelessly to deliver the dividends of democracy to every corner of the state.

“We do not take this trust for granted,” Nwosu said, adding, “We are conscious of the needs and unmet needs of Ndi Anambra. We are committed to building a government that serves the people.

The ADC candidate extended a hand of fellowship to those who did not support his candidacy, calling for unity in the interest of the state.

“Now is the time to come together for the good of all, most especially for the good of Ndi Anambra,” he said.

Nwosu’s remarks concluded with a prayer for guidance as he seeks to serve the people of Anambra State. “May God guide us as we seek to serve,” he said.

The development marks a significant step in the lead-up to the Anambra State gubernatorial election, with Nwosu poised to offer a credible alternative to the incumbent.
