Obizi Obidient Family (OOF), a team of supporters of Mr Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP) in the recently concluded 2023 poll, have vowed not to relent in supporting Obi's move to recover his mandate through court.


OOF, which comprises all the LP members in Awka South II State Constituency, at a general homecoming party held at Nibo, Awka South Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State capital, said they were optimistic that court would consider the evidents to be tendered by the party and pronounce Obi as winner of the election as against Alh. Bola Ahmed Tinubu of APC earlier announced by the INEC.

The group hailed the Nigerians who according to them, voted massively for LP across the country, and also pledged to maintain solid relationship with other elected States and National Assembly members under LP with a view to ensuring that they do not fail on their campaign promises and general party manifesto.


Speaking at the occasion, the LP chairman in Awka South II constituency, Hon. Alex Okoyeugha, said they were optimistic that the judiciary is still the hope of common man and would as a result, make Nigerians happy by ruling to Obi's favour.


According to Okoyeugha, with Obi as President and likes Senator Victor Umeh, Senator-elect Anambra Central, and Professor Lillian Orogbu, member-elect for Awka North and South federal Constituency, and others, Nigeria would be transformed beyond expectations in shortest period of time.


Also speaking, the coordinator of Labour party campaign council for Awka South II constituency, Prince Anayo Nnama, and another stakeholder, Chief Ikenna Azom'Chine thanked Nigerians for the supports given to the LP Presidential candidate, and urged them not to relent in doing more for better society.


Chief J. C Okeke who contested for Awka South II constituency in the State House of Assembly election under labour ceased the opportunity to thanked the Obizi community for their individual support and vote during the election.


He promised to continue in his efforts to campaign and work for true representation and defense for justice despite the defeat at the March 18 poll.


In their separate remarks, the coordinator for labour party in Mbaukwu, Chief Pius Okeke and another stakeholders of the party, Nze Chike Eze equally expressed their satisfaction with the warm reception and celebration, noting that hosting a remarkable event like this to appreciate those who contributed to the success of the party in the constituency is necessary.


Expressing their optimism on the recovery of Mr. Obi's mandate, they extolled accolades on the agility and coordination of Hon Ikenna in success delivery, stating that he contributed immensely to the victory of the party in their constituency.


Hon. Sir Obiorah Okafor, Awka South II labour party Ward leaders and many other support groups and their executives attended the event.
