A Canadian based business man, Hon Oliver Okenna, Dikemba Ebenebe, has been nominated as the 2024 NUJ Anambra Most Innovative Entrepreneur of the year.
Presenting his nomination letter to his father, Hon Chief Emmanuel Okenna, Owelle Ebenebe, in his Awka residence, the Chairman Anambra State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, PhD described the award as unique and befitting for the recepient who has performed marvelously in youths empowerment, community engagement, growth and development.
Chief Okennah, who received the nomination letter on behalf of his son, stated that the announcement of the award is a good omen which will herald several other good tidings not only for his son, but the family and Ebenebe community in general.
He thanked the Comrade Odogwu led executive of the NUJ for bestowing the prestigious award on his son, pledging his family's unalloyed support to the Union.
Expressing his happiness with the nomination, Chief Emmanuel Okenna said: "Odogwu, Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Anambra state council, you will keep moving forward as you pilot the affairs of your great Union. You will enjoy peace and longevity. You have taken NUJ to greater heights with your numerous programmes and activities. What you are doing is highly commendable and your reward will come from God, not man".
Earlier, the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Anambra state council, Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, PhD, in his speech explained the rigorous processes the nomination passed through before Hon Oliver Okenna, Dikemba Ebenebe emerged victorious.
Comrade Odogwu added that Okenna's track records in championing agricultural revolution distinguished him among other contestants.
