A mother of four children and her sister had been drowned by flood at Nzam, the headquarters of Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State.
A trending video showed the youth of the community bringing out the family corpses from their houses and depositing them on land.
According to sources, the family members whose identities had not been identified, were drowned in their house after it was submerged by flood.
In a trending video, youths of the community were seen bringing out corpses from their house and depositing them in an upland area.
A narrator in the video explained that the family were already prepared to leave for a safe place, before they were swept away by the flood.
Anambra State had been battling with flood with all the ten communities in Ogbaru Local Government Area, three in Awka North, five in Anambra East, among others, already submerged.
As a result, the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, at a recent press conference promised to commence aerial surveillance, using helicopters, to rescue trapped residents of flooded area.
