Obiano hails for his support to private investors

The Chief  executive Officer  of Obinwugo Farms Limited, Mr Emeka Obinwugo, has commended Gov. Willie Obiano of Anambra  for his support to private sector operators for the good of all in our society.

Obinwugo, who made the commendation in an interview with Newsmen in Awka, urged other state governments in the country  to  borrow a leaf from Anambra State on how  to promote public private partnerships for the common good of their citizens.

Obinwugo said that Anambra state government under   Obiano’s leadership was  a model of how the private sector and the government can work in close collaboration for the good of all.

Obinwugo  a native  of Umuoji, Idemmili North Local Government Area of Anambra said he responded to the call of Think Home Philosophy of Anambra government and abounded his law practice .

“ I  gave up my  law pursuit to set up a foods company in Nnewi in response to  Obiano’s call  to invest at home particularly in agricultural and industrial development.

“ I am very happy to heed to the call and it has enabled me to produce the first two Anambra tea brands in the Southeast geopolitical zone, its amazing,” he said.
Obinwugo said that Obiano  provided  the seed money with which he began the enterprise through the Anambra State Small Business Agency (ASBA),and it has  resulted in  the new famous Anambra Tea.
“ The tea names  are  Ijele Hibiscus Tea and Ijele Lemon Tea, currently  the are sold in the market and plans are under to way to give a huge publicity,” he said.
“Obinwugo said that efforts are being made to seek assistance from government to get the tea brands to some international retail chains shops  in Nigeria,” he disclosed.
He said that the company had secured   approval from  the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC).
Obinwugo  appealed to government agencies like Anambra  State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) to devise a strategy to export the product to West African sub-region, Europe, North America and Asia.
He urged the Ministry of Information and Public Enlightenment as well as the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Wealth Creation to partner with the company to create huge awareness about the product
