A Jewish religious Group “Shalom Assembly” based in Onitsha Anambra State Nigeria has expressed concerns over Police declaration of a youth Leader Master Lotanna Charles Mnoka as a fugitive before the Law on allegations of been a Kingpin of one of the numerous Igbo Liberation Movements (MASSOB) an organization Campaigning for the creation of a separate State for Igbos in Nigeria.
The Police had sometime in 2014 declared the Youth Leader wanted when the Youth Leader in Company of fellow Igbo Youth Liberation activists had a bloody confrontation with the police when the police wanted to arrest them while having their meeting in their office at Nkutaku Okpoko Ogbaru L.G.A Anambra State. The confrontation which was intense at that time saw a total of ten youths losing their lives while several others received serious injuries. This however prompted the Police to place a wanted list on the head of Master Lotanna Charles Muoka their leader who the Police up till now cannot ascertain his exact whereabout.
Expressing this concern while addressing journalists immediately after the religious group annual end of the year Passover Feast recently, Rabbi Chike Ikechukwu noted that the group was grateful to God for protecting them in this year of Covid 19 and other hardships and maintained that the assembly as a group is worried as to the whereabout of the youth leader who is an influential member of their assembly adding that since that gory incident in Nkutaku Okpoko which saw ten of their youthful members losing their lives as well as numerous others injured that they have been praying for the safety of the youth leader wherever he may be.
Said he, “up till now the Police are saying that they don’t know whether Master Lotanna Charles Muoka is alive, the last time we went to the Police we were told that they the Police are still seeking for the youth leader as they told us that he is still been regarded as a fugitive before the law and will be punished whenever he is apprehended.
