The Social Democratic Party (SDP), Anambra State chapter has said it has launched one million march to gather voters ahead of the state November 6, 2021 gubernatorial poll.
SDP, in a statement signed by its state Chairman of the party in the state, Dr. Webster Okonkwo, explained that the mobilization campaign which kicks off in third week of April would be engineered by special groups, students and youth who were desirous of a change in Anambra.
According to him, it would be a door-to-door campaign across the 326 political wards in the state to find out the readiness of the Anambra electorate to usher in a new era in Anambra politics, an era when the generality of people would have a say in what affects them.
“The one million March also is to demonstrate the desire of Ndi-Anambra for FRESH AIR, the people are truly tired of the old parties (PDP, APC, and APGA), they want something fresh and SDP represents that freshness,” he added.
Okonkwo, urged eligible voters who yielded for accountability, transparency and good governance in Anambra state to join the march.
