Anambra governor, Soludo submits names of 15 SPADs, 20 commissioners nominees

Anambra State House of Assembly, Tuesday, confirmed list of 15 Special Advisers (SPAD) submitted by Governor Charles Soludo.


The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor, who announced this at plenary, also read names of 20 commissioners nominees submitted to the House by the governor.


Although Okafor did not disclose names of the confirmed SPADs, he announced names of the incoming commissioners but did not reveal their portfolios.


He, however, eferred the lists to the House of Assembly Committee on Screening headed by Deputy Speaker, Hon. Paschal Agbodike, urging them to speedup the screening and report back appropriately.


But the nominees and their offices as gathered by Factcheckng were Mr Ifeatu Onejeme, Finance; Prof. Ofonze Amucheazi, Lands; Engr. Ifeanyi Okoma, Works and Infrastructure; and Mrs Chiamaka Nnake, Budget and Economic Planning.


Others were Dr Afam Obidike, Health; Mr Patrick Agha, Youth Development; Mrs Ifeyinwa Obinabo, Women and Social Welfare; Dr Obinna Ngonadi, Commerce and Industry; Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka, Power and Water Resources; and Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Education.


Also on the list were Mr Paul Nwosu, Information; Dr Forester Ihejiofor, Agriculture; Bar. Patricia Igwebuike, Transport; Engr. Felix Odimegwu, Environment; Mr Chikodi Anara, Homeland Affairs; and Prof. Sylvia Ifemeje, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.

The list also included Mr Collins Nwabunwanne, Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs; Mr Donatus Onyeji, Culture, Entertainment and Tourism; Bar. Anthony Ifeanya, Petroleum and Mineral Resources; and Bar. Paulinus Onyeka, Housing.
