Senior traders in the famous onitsha main market under the aegis of concern onitsha main market traders stake holders (COMMTSH)has accuses the caretaker chairman of the market Mr Kenneth Onyeka of intimidation, high-handedness, extortion and threat of lives of their members and most traders in the market who are against his unpopular leadership styles in the market and apealed to Gov Charles Soludo to intervene and save the traders as well restore the traders confidence on the government .

Stating this while speaking to newsmen after the group monthly meeting held inside the market last weekend,Onowu Mbakaogu note that their call become necessary on account of several impunities allegedly comitted by the chairman which are not going down well with majority of traders.

While saying that the chairman unpopular policies had affected the morale of traders hence their group resolve to apeal to the state government to intervene to restore a Democratic​ elected executive,he alleged that of recent that the chairman through a public announcement in his usual exercise of using absolute power cancelled the out come of a well and peaceful conducted Democratic election of Exodus line after initially giving them the go ahead to conduct which he had earlier given to. Cooperative line.He alleged that they discreetly gathered that he took the action because the Exodus line refused to part with the sum of a million naira being the mandatory levies he collects from each line to conduct elections termed,"election levies.

Said he,we want Gov.Soludo to come in and stop the building of illegal structures,all manners of illegal revenues,we are suffurcating,we need a Democratic executive,this present leadership is unpopular,we need​ a change;

But when contacted to react to this,Mr Kenneth Onyeka the caretaker chairman did not pick his calls as well as several messages sent to him before going to the press.​

But a source in his office told newsmen that the chairman would not want to waste his time on people who​ are faceless opposition of his good work in the market
