The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Saturday, moved to train staff ahead of 2023 general elections.
The Anambra State Director of NOA, Barrister Charles Nwoji, who disclosed this in a statement signed by Public Relations Officer of the agency, Mr Anthony
Obiorah, explained that the training workshop would focus on all the nitty-gritty of effective report writing, including civic and voter education, protocols and general programmes implementation, research planing and strategy.
"In readiness of the 2023 general elections,the Anambra state Directorate of the National Orientation Agency (NOA),Awka is to embark on massive training of its field officers in the twenty one local government areas across the state.
"The state Director of Agency in Anambra state ,Barrister Charles Nwoji, who made the disclosure in his office in Awka,during Journalists interview, said that the training workshop is expected to focus on all the nitty - gritties of effective report writing ,civic and voter education, protocols and general programmes implementation, research planing and strategy among others.
"The state Director, Barrister Nwoji, who also stated that the management of the Agency is thinking out of the box to improve the operations of the Agency in the state, maintained that the training workshop would also include lessons in accounting and auditing with a view to instilling discipline in the participants.
"The NOA boss,who further spoke among others things,expressed confidence that the training workshop would enhance the out put of the Agency ,especially now the activities surrounding the 2022 general elections are gathering momentum, saying that the essence of the training workshop was to fully prepare the staff of Agency on their roles about the elections and to plant the seed of patriotism, dedication , discipline and honesty on the participants in the cause of discharging the duties before, during and after the elections.
"While calking on all hands to be on deck towards making the general elections a huge success in Anambra state and elsewhere in the country, Barrister Nwoji, explained that the leadership of the Agency was before prepared the 2022 work plan of the Agency for the rest of the year and advised the participants to beverage on the work plan for their sensitization programmes
with particular emphasis on civic and voter education,adding that the 2022 general elections are very critical to every right thinking Nigerians," he noted.
