Anambra State government has assured the Adorable Foundation international of working in collaboration to ensure improved social economic and cultural livelihood of a common man.
The Commissioner for Entertainment, culture and Tourism, Comrade Don Onyenji gave the assurance during the Group's Courtsey visit at his office in Awka on Thursday, 22nd, June.
The Commissioner however called on the group to assist Ndi Anambra to uphold their culture since it identifies the people's livelihood. He urged them for the promotion of Igbo Cultural heritage, values, traditions and norms as it will help in shaping the characters of the younger generation.
The Commissioner reminded Ndi Anambra that Governor Chukwuma Soludo wants them to invest in organic Agriculture to improve their living standards and contribute to the state’s economy.
He equally used the opportunity to inform the group that lots of projects such as the leisure parks as well as heritage sites for film makers are part of the Soludo's vision for a liveable and prosperous Anambra.
Earlier speaking, AFi Southeast Director, Duke Melvin Nwizu noted that the essence of the visit was to see ways in which the group will partner with the state government to facilitate access to sustainable means of livelihood and better world.
According to Nwizu, Adorable Foundation International is a philanthropic organization that seeks to deliver better livelihood, empowerment and assistance to the less privileged, drug addicts, vulnerable of all ages, classes and tribe.
Meanwhile in another courstey call to Special Adviser to Governor Prof Soludo on Entertainment, Leisure and Tourism, Bob-Manuel Udokwu at his office, he explained that the partnership with the state government will open avenues for job opportunities, creativity and quality service delivery. He added that the state government have been carrying out programmes such as the Anambra Talent Hunt Show, Cultural displays, Ada Igbo Events and tourism expositions to the people.
Special attractions includes presentation of the group's Tshirt and Cap to the Commissioner and the Special Adviser. Presents at the visitation were members from the southeastern states.
