Claim:
A trending video and
messages on Whatsapp, Facebook and other social media accounts claimed that Governor
Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State was bounced back by security men at the President
Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inauguration on May 29, 2023. Some of the posters even claimed
that the governor was sent to ordinary people seats.
Verdict: False, misleading
The trending message was false and misleading. The governor’s
Press Secretary, Mr Christian Aburime denounced the messages as fake. The governor
also dismissed the messages in his official
Facebook page. A version of the video upload by the Channels TV and
others equally proved the video to be fake.
