Three persons escaped death unhurt, Wednesday, as one person died at road crash involving a Trailer, Tipper and Okada along Amaokpala, Umunze, Ekwulọbịa road at Orumba North Local Government Area, Anambra State.
The affected vehicles were a commercial Mercedes Benz tipper with registration number XA554AGU, commercial Mack Trailer, with registration number AKL876XP, and commercial motorcyclist without a registration number.
According to an eyewitness, the incident which occurred around 10.45am, was probably caused by a break failure.
"The trailer failed break and rammed into the tipper and motorcycle and crashed," he added.
The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State command, Mr Adeoye Irelewuyi, who confirmed the report through a Sector Public Education Officer, Mrs Margaret Onabe, noted that the dead victim had been taken to Ajalli General hospital, Ajalli by FRSC rescue team from RS5.37 Umunze Unit Command.
Irelewuyi, while stressing that the Corps rescue team had started managing traffic to prevent obstructions on the road, admonished motorist to regularly service their vehicles to minimum safety standard before plying the road especially this festive period that the road is very busy.
