Gunmen, Thursday, allegedly burnt a police station at Neni, the headquarters of Anaocha Local Government (LGA), Anambra State.
Sources said the hoodlums numbering about 30, equally burnt the headquarters∅ of the LGA and went out untouched, having arrived around 3am and 4am.
It was learnt that the hoodlums whisked away a female police personnel and others at the Neni police station.
This was even as another set of hoodlums set a police station on fire and killed about three officers at Awgbu, Orumba North LGA on Monday, according to a viral video.
But when contacted, Anambra State Police Public Relations officer, Mr Tochukwu Ikenga, a Superintendent of police (SP), denied that the hoodlums whisked away the operatives.
Ikenga, who claimed that although the hoodlums attacked the police station with Improvised Explosive Devices they did not take away arms from the operatives and were also subdued successfully with superior fire-power of the police.
