Chief Uba Okoli, a community leader in Awka, has called on President Bola Tinubu, to look for a disruptive alternative to stablise the economy of the nation to cushion the hardship experienced by the citizens.
Okoli said that the president having climbed to the presidential seat after many years of governance in various capacities should have different means of leadership to be better than other Presidents.
Okoli said in an interview with news men in Awka on Wednesday during a security summit organised by Anambra State Lawmaker.Mr Nigeria Mbachu, representing Awka South 1.
He called on the president to address the economic challenges borne out his decision on subsidy removal during his Inugrauation on May 29, 2023.
Okoli commended the president for his efforts to root out crime in the country and urged him to be wholist in his approaches to achieve greater success.
He said that much attention should be given to educational sector to ensure that basic educational tools where the future leaders are been trained are provided.
" educational system need to be cartered for through equipping the institutions with current learning tools including welfare of the lectures.
"The causes of incessant strike in the tertiary institution should be solved so that quality graduates to stand western scholars could be achieved,"he said.
Okoli said that efforts to strengthen the democracy of the nation is crucial in having a political stability and urged that democracy at the grassroots need be created.
He also commended the lawmaker for organising the security summit to tackle insecurity challenges in Anambra capital city.
Okoli said that killings is on the increase daily and appealed that efforts be made to engage Nigerian youths meaningfully either into educational system or to gain skills to empower themselves.
He said that cultists activities are in the increase amongst youths and is a worrisome situation that need to be addressed legally.
"It is a taboo for anyone to kill his brother or sister in Awka community for anything and the speed of this crime must be taclkled drastically," he said.
He called on parents to take the responsibility of home training very seriously and ensure that old family ties are sustained.
Ozo Okoli disclosed that Awka traditional council have agreed that anyone who protects any Awka child involved in cultists activities will be derobed of his Chieftaincy title.
" Enough is enough, we will map out cultists in the city to redeem our good name." He said.
