As extracted by Governor Soludo's Media Aide Christian Aburime may I ask:Are these Statements on quote from Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Speech made on Saturday 21st September, 2024 during APGA Rally for the Kangaroo LG election on September 28th, 2024 true or false?
1."And,as always,it is evident that APGA is Anambra and Anambra is APGA!"
Figuratively, Governor Soludo meant that without Anambra there is no APGA.
This is a false narrative.
As one of the founding members of APGA and State Secretary of APGA, Anambra State Chapter during the first term or tenure of Governor Peter Obi as Governor of Anambra State when in fact Anambra State was won for APGA government for the first time,APGA is a pro Igbo national party in Nigeria and presently has APGA members throughout the Federation of Nigeria.
So in a nutshell APGA is APGA,ALL PROGRESSIVES GRAND ALLIANCE as an independent national party distinct and different from Anambra or Anambra State Government!
2."APGA as a political party remains one united, indivisible, ever stronger political party under the National Chairmanship of no other than Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa..."
This is another false narrative that clearly depicts Governor Soludo as a governor that does not believe in the rule of law.The status quo ante is that at the time this statement was falsely made,Chief Edozie Njoku remains the legally recognised National Chairman of APGA.
The Kangaroo nature of the ANSIEC Anambra State LG election of September 28th, 2024 are founded on the following reasons namely: 1.The 30 days timeline for LG elections as provided by the Anambra law for the conduct of LG election of 28th September 2024 is inconsistent with the 150 days timeline as provided under the Electoral Act which is the superior law in the Nigerian electoral jurisprudence.
2.The Pre-determined return of all the current appointed Transition Caretaker Committees (TCCs) as the elected 21 LG Chairmen and 326 Councillors.
3.The ANSIEC's acceptance of the illegal list of APGA nominated candidates from the non existent National Executive Committee (NEC) of APGA led by Barr.Sly Ezeokenwa contrary the several Supreme Court judgments that only the NEC of a party through the National Chairman in this case Chief Edozie Njoku reserves the right to forward the list of nominated candidates to the electoral agency INEC or State SIECs.
