The newly elected Executive Chairman of Ọrumba South Local Government Area (LGA), Hon. Shedrack Azubuike has commended electorate for making it possible for his victory, describing it as an evidence that Council is APGA land.
Azubuike, who was candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the election, promised to run an open door policy with a view to improve the living standards of the populace.
He further assured that he would not disappoint them in any way, while pledging an unalloyed loyalty and support to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, who he said, has recorded meaningful developments in Orumba South.
Hon. Azubuike thanked the Orumba South stakeholders, traditional rulers, Presidents-General as well as the entire people of the area for giving him the opportunity to serve them through their votes.
The Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission (ANSIEC's) Returning Officer for Chairmanship Election in Orumba South, Mr.Chinedu Okpala, who announced the result of the poll at the Council Secretariat Umunze, declared that Hon.Shedrack Azubuike of APGA polled 20,119 voted, being the highest number of votes cast to beat others.
