Chidebe, who empowered the party's wards and local government executives for the task ahead, announced several committees which according to him, would drive membership reconciliation, build confidence on people, mobilise resources and others for their victory in 2025 and 2027 general election.
According to him, the PDP under his watch, would promote the members welfare through celebrations, rewards and awards presentations to distinguished and loyal members for continuous unity and progress of the party.
"To drive and actualize this agenda, we will establish several key committees in the coming days. These committees will play a vital role in shaping and steering our strategic initiatives. The key committees will include: Reconciliation and Unity Committee, Strategic Mobilization and Grassroots Engagement Committee, Fundraising and Finance Committee, Electoral Strategy and Planning Committee, and Communications and Publicity Committee.
"As we look to the future, our agenda remains focused on solidifying PDP’s foundations by empowering local units, and energizing our members, the present Exco will put emphases on revitalizing grassroots participation by bringing every member, at the ward level, into active participation, we shall further create platforms and assign meaningful roles to engage the youth, having in mind that youth are pivotal in advancing PDP’s future.
"As Chairman, I am committed to strengthening our Elders Council, and consulting the BOT members regularly on major policies, recognizing their wisdom and experience as invaluable assets to our party. By promoting mentorship between our elders and emerging leaders, we will create a unified party that aims future success," he added.
Also speaking, the former State Chairman of PDP, Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu, said the era of supporting the oppositions to defeat PDP candidates in general and State elections in Anambra was over, as all the stakeholders had resolved to support the new leadership and potential candidates to win at 2025 and 2025 elections.
Earlier, the former State Caretaker Chairman of PDP, Hon. Chigozie Igwe, charged the new executive to work in peace and harmony, while appealing to contestants who lost at the election held last month to sheath their swords and support the winners to reposition the party as era of internal wrangling was over.
