ICT experts unite to promote accountability, good governance in Anambra

Experts in information and communication technology (ICT) in Anambra State, on Friday, unite to promote good governance and accountability in the State.


The gurus who adopted the name, Techies 4 Soludo, vowed to use their newly launched www.techies4soludo.ng, an interactive digital platform, to engage the citizenry while offering opportunities for support groups and others to promote governor Chukwuma Soludo's administration developmental projects, policies and others. 



The platform which was launched virtually is also a social impact organization that holds the government accountable for tech development, tech policies, and policy enforcement. 


According to Mr Castro Ideke, who is among the administrators of the platform, the platform also offers the citizenry opportunities to report progress reports of the governor's developmental projects and others nearest to them by taken shots of them and upload accordingly.


"The platform is an interactive one, you can sign up and meet with many other tech enthusiasts. There is a column for all Soludo support groups in the state, and you can take pictures of Soludo’s projects, upload them on the platform to show what the governor is doing. We also have social media handles


“You can also ask certain questions about projects in your area, and people will respond to you in real time. It also has column for engagements and job findings. What we plan to do with this project has never been done before,” he said.


Other key objectives of the platform were to promote the tech ecosystem, digital development, and continuity of the current administration in Anambra state while holding the government accountable for social and tech development in the state.


The action plan spotted by factcheckng.com were to understudy the tech gaps in Anambra state, develop strategies for closing up the gap, support the re-election of the current administration for continuity, and seek to liaise with the government to build a tech-driven economy in Anambra state.
