Stakeholders from Isuanaocha, Awka North Local Government Area (LGA), Anambra State have commended governor Chukwuma Soludo on his efforts towards ensuring lasting peace in various Communities across the state.
The stakeholders, who disclosed this in an interactive session with our reporter, argued that Soludo's administration has shown total commitment towards settling differences and leadership issues in various towns in 21 LGAs.
According to Chief Chukwuma Ezinna, the administration has through its relevant Ministries , Departments and Agencies (MDAs) resolved matters in the various communities including boundary, land, leadership and other issues which had hindered peace and progress in general.
He further posited that Governor Soludo had also set up a committee headed by the Commissioner for Agriculture, Doctor Foster Ifejika to look into the Crises in Isuaniocha and come up with recommendations that will enable government resolve the matter.
According to Mr Ifeanyi Ozodigwe, another resident , the Committee had since completed their assignment and report submitted to the governor.
The concerened citizens who base in Diaspora therefore appealed to the governor to visit and consider the report as it will no doubt go a long way in bringing peace to Isuaniocha.
According to them, when peace is restored in the Community like its being done in other areas, the efforts of the Governor to open up the area with good roads will no doubt be appreciated by the residents
Another respondent, Mr Mike Onyeukwu described Isuaniocha as a once peaceful community that have been accommodating people but regretted that some bad elements who prefer their selfish interest have continued to cause mayhem and unleashing terror in the area.
The concerened persons also Congratulated Governor Soludo for emerging SUN Newspapers Man of the year, describing as a well deserved honor that reflects the leadership strides of the governor.
The people concluded by saying that all parties will be glad to see the committee report submitted being used to guarantee peace in the area.
