Anambra State governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, on Saturday, said his administration was committed towards upholding and promoting the State's ideology of enterprise and industriousness.

Soludo declared this in Awka, the State capital while addressing some Nollywood stars and members of late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah's political family comprising Ubahnation Media, Ifeanyi Ubah's disciples, Afaigbo efuna and others.

The team accompanied by the National Coordinator of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Media Warriors, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, were at the new government house and lodge in Awka to inspect the about to be completed infrastructural project.

According to the governor, this was why the administration aside embarking on various developmental projects across 21 Local Government Areas, was equally investing into human capital development through training and empowerments.

He added that the ideology was also why his administration launched Operation Udo Ga-Achi security outfit aimed at sanitising the State of violence crimes, including kidnapping, killings, yahoo yahoo (online scams), okeite and other fraudulent acts.

"We have trained over 5000 youths and empowered them with over N50 billion. About four weeks ago, 1000 of them who described themselves as proud young millionaires came to me and said they will be training another 1000 youth free of charge. We are also training another 8,300 youths. This year we will be dolling out some billions to empower youth as well.

"There are also over 20,000 people we trained in ICT, technology and so on. Our target is to train over 100,000. We are building their skills and capacities to excel in their areas of endeavours. That is why I said we are just starting. Anambra must be that state with difference. As 'A' state, we will always remain the best.

"We are against this new ideology of get rich quick syndrome. Igbo ideology is that aka aja aja na-ebute onu mmanu mmanu (he who works must eat). We won't allow evil to thrive in our dear State. That is why we are against okeite, yahoo (cyber crime) and kidnapping in our State. We are Anambra. Anambra State is known for enterprise. Anambra State is known for industriousness," he added.

Earlier speaking, Hon. Kamen Chuks who led the political family of the late Senator that represented Anambra South, Dr Ifeanyi Ubah, said he was awed with the giant strides of the governor within three years in office and promised to promote his good works in the spirit of Anambra.

"We have seen the quality works you have done across the State. We have been to the Solution FunCity and this new government house. We have toured Awka to Okpuno and down to Isuanaocha, Awka North LGA just to see the quality of road been constructed by your administration.

" We are marvelled that you are also fighting against evil, tackling insecurities and building the moral aspect of our lives. Therefore this story must be told. Every premium Anambra son must come out and speak in voice in support of your good works," he added.

Also speaking, two Nollywood stars, Mr Stephen Alajemba (Uwaezuoke) and Mr Collins Mounagor (Nche) apologized for speaking against the government, assuring that they would campaign for his reelection because the administration merited a second term.

Earlier at the project tour, the stakeholders inspected the newly constructed 1.8 kilometers of dual carriageways road connecting Awka to Okpuno, including the 11.5 kilometers of road connecting Okpuno (Awka South) to 9.9 kilometers of road connecting some communities in Awka North LGA (Isuanaocha, Amanuke, Urum and Achalla, the headquarters of Awka North LGA) which is ongoing.

The Supervising Contractor who guided the team during the tour explained that the various link roads and flyovers in Awka were aimed at decongesting the highway (Awka/Onitsha/Enugu expressway) while reducing the pains the citizenry, especially the motorists and passengers go as they access homes, markets, businesses and other destinations.
