The National Coordinator, APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, on Tuesday, alleged that the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is in support of governor Chukwuma Soludo's efforts to end the every Monday sit-at-home order.

IPOB had in 2021 declared the infamous civil disobedience in agitation for release of their detained leader but later pronounced an end to it although people partially obey that till date due to fear of unknown persons unleashing mayhem on innocent populace in pretence of enforcing it.

However, Governor Chukwuma Soludo at an executive meeting held earlier this year issued an executive order urging the public, including the civil servants and traders to resume their normal businesses on Mondays or risk penalty.

Unfortunately, traders at Onitsha main market refused to open shops last Monday which made the governor to shutdown the market for one week with a threat to level the market, and to apply the same measures on traders continue observing sit at home.

Responding to the governor's reaction, Obigwe said that "The truth remains that Nnamdi Kanu is 100 percent in support of Governor Soludo efforts to end the Monday sit at home. Governor Soludo is doing marvellously well in our State and we must support his policies to enable him do more for us.

"All that is expected from Anambra people and those resident in the State is to support Governor Soludo efforts to end the Monday sit at home because it is for the good of our State. Say no to Monday's sit at home to revive our State economy," he added.

According to him, "As a matter of fact, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu stated in a widely circulated press release that he is not in support of the Monday's sit at home and advised our people to put  an end to it.

" The people claiming that they are doing it as a civil disobedience measure to protest the detention of Nnamdi Kanu are deceiving themselves. They are using Nnamdi Kanu condition to perpetrate criminality and cripple igbo's economy.

" As for those saying that Governor Soludo should fight for Nnamdi Kanu release from detention instead of fighting to end the Monday's sit at home, they are being economical with the truth because Governor Soludo is the first Governor in igbo land to call for the unconditional release of Nnamdi Kanu.

"When he came in as Anambra Governor, he paid Nnamdi Kanu a visit at DSS detention facility and had a frank discussion with him. Till date, he is among the vocal voice calling for Nnamdi Kanu release."
