Anambra Monarch hails Soludo over impactful first tenure, marvellous scorecard

HRM Igwe Godwin Nwabunwanne Odiegwu the traditional ruler of Abacha community one of the numerous communities that make up Idemili North LGA Anambra State has described Gov Chukwuma Soludo first tenure performances as marvellous and impactful to every sector of the state development.

Giving this assessment of Gov. Soludo administration in the state while speaking to journalists on the heel of the oncoming swearing in of Gov Soludo for a second term in office on 17th march 2026 in his palace Umudisi Village Abacha yesterday, The Monarch noted that it is always good to applaud a person who has done well stressing that the Governor from what that can be seen on the ground in the state so far deserved commendation and praises adding that his achievements on roads construction which has linked the three senatorial zone of the state together, security, education, health etc is worth applauding. Speaking on his expectation of the governor in his second tenure, he stated that he want him to maintain the tempo to ensure that several areas in the state which is yet to feel the impact of his developments are properly captured and remembered. He listed one of such areas as rural roads, rural schools, provision of electricity etc. 

While saying that the people of the state is lucky to have somebody  like Gov. Soludo, He opined that there is the need  for the governor to pay more attention to construction and maintenance of rural roads to open up more rural communities in the state. 

Said he, “am advising our able governor, Prof Charles Soludo Charlie Nwagbafor, Olu atu egwu to beam search lights on rural roads like that of my community especially Abacha to Abatete road and other s in several communities.

On the much discussed introduction of state police, he noted that the                                           project is overdue to be introduced in Nigeria adding that  the project if introduce will help to tackle insecurity and combat terrorism in the country.

On his view on whether traditional rulers will be given a constitutional role to be part of governance of the country,

The monarch who is an astute businessman said the much debated issue which has not been implemented is overdue to be given a trial stressing that traditional rulers been closer to the people of their respective communities are in a better position to understand the immediate problem of the people in their domain especially ordinary citizens.
