NIPR trains Anambra executive, harps on harmony, open door policy

A Council Member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations and Chairman, Chapter Support and Empowerment, Dr Ahmad Sajor has trained the Presidential Interim Executives Committee (PIECO) of NIPR Anambra Chapter on its duties and functions.

Dr Sajor, a fellow of the Institute, took time to educate each officer of the newly inaugurated PIECO their responsibilities as contained in the Bye-Law No 2 of 1992 Creation and Administration of NIPR Chapters, as Amended 2024.

The Bye-Law was amended and adopted in 2024 as the law guiding the operations of State Chapters in all the States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

This amendment came in response to the changing dynamics of structures and processes in the way the Governing Council relates to State Chapters.

It also allows for the creation of Branches in a State as an additional level in the NIPR Governance structure, and to position State Chapters and Branches as advocates for the members of the Institute and the Public Relations profession.

Dr Sajor, who conducted the training virtually, urged the Chairman, Dr Ngozi Ulogu to carry her EXCO members in all the activities and programmes of the chapter to achieve the overall objectives of her administration.

He noted that this is necessary to ensure administrative harmony and cohesion among EXCO members.

Contributing, Dr Nelson Omenugha, Vice Chairman of the Chapter and Chairman, 2026 Anambra AGM Committee, urged members to make sacrifices in the discharge of their functions.

Responding, Dr Ngozi Ulogu thanked Dr Sajor for the quality training given to her EXCO and promised to do her best by using the knowledge gathered at the training for the overall good of the chapter.

The Executive Committee of the State Chapter who were trained are Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Assistant Secretary and ICT Officer, Public Relations Officer, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, Welfare Officer, Internal Auditor and an ex-Officio member.

The President and Chairman of Council NIPR, Dr Ike Neliaku inaugurated Presidential Interim Executives Committee on Friday 13th March 2026 to pilot the affairs of Anambra Chapter for six months or maximum of one year, within when to conduct a credible election devoid of rancour.
