Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha and Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of Onitsha, Most Rev. Valerian Maduka Okeke, honoured with the prestigious Anambra Person of the Decade Award at Stanel Dome, Awka, the venue of the Occasion.
The historic honour, the first of its kind, with no individual, living or dead, having previously received the award, recognises Archbishop Okeke's exceptionally outstanding contributions to evangelisation, education, healthcare, humanitarian service, spiritual renewal, moral re-engineering, youth formation, and the socio-economic development of Anambra State and beyond, affirming his enduring legacy of visionary leadership and selfless service to God and humanity.
The recognition further celebrates his enduring contributions to the transformation of lives, communities and society across Anambra State and beyond.
In his response during an interview, His Grace Most Rev Valerian Maduka Okeke assured that the honor will trigger him to do more in his service to God and humanity.
Others who celebrate with the Archbishop described Archbishop Valerian Maduka Okeke as true Divine gift to humanity whose contribution in building the state and the entire society will continue to be celebrated.
