As the popular political saying goes, "follow who know road!".
Some rural communities in Anambra State, including Ideani and Uke, both in Idemili North Council have already started enjoying the benefits of clean water boreholes projects courtesy of the benevolent spirit and social sagacity of Dr Kingsley Ezekwelu, the Federal House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Idemili Federal constituency.
The water project to be sited at Ideani and Uke communities was the backing support of an international humanitarian group under the aegis Nkechi Chiamaka Foundation (NCF).
The Nigerian ambassador to Israel, Barrister Nkiru Chiamaka Ufochukwu who sent her staff to Ideani to deliver the good news, disclosed her readiness to assist improve the lot of the people of her home constituency.
Ezekwelu told the people of Ideani and Uke respectively to liaise with his office for details of locations to site them for construction to commence immediately.
He specially commended the two communities for standing out as the first to enjoy the benefits of his international contacts and benevolence. He noted that it was reason his watchword was "follow who know road".
The Federal House of Representatives candidate pointed out that "this is just the beginning of more good things and benefits to come.
While addressing the crowd of supporters that trooped out to welcome him at the Oye Market square, Ideani; Union Circle Field, Uke and the Ogidi community Townhall respectively, Dr Ezekwelu assured the people that he's going to make a very significant difference at the National Assembly for them.
That he was going to be their spokesman, advocate and touch bearer.
He lamented over what he saw as the lethargic lackluster representation witnessed by Idemili North/South Federal constituency in the last four years.
Ezekwelu, almost in tears urge the people to say 'never again would we send or mistakenly elect a passer-by, a political neophyte, or a barbecue shop operator. National Assembly is a serious business arena for articulate, well-read minds. It involves a lot of brain work, not buy
buying and selling, or frying meat or barbecuing fish and chicken. We have practical, theoretical, economic, scientific and political experience to make and argue laws that would benefit the citizens. Let everyone face the areas of their natural calling. We cannot afford to use our collective project to play kalo kalo.
In his comments, Chief Vin Obi, the APC, candidate for Idemili North State constituency who called on the people not to entertain any fear or let themselves be intimidated by any anybody under whatever guise.
He noted that "For four years, there is no constituency project executed anywhere in our federal constituency. We are very prepared today.
Ezekwelu.and the APC are prepared. So, join hands with us”, he said.
Obi disclosed that APC as national political party has become the darling of the Igbos,, presiding over the affairs of government in Imo, Ebonyi,Enugu and Anambra where Governor Soludo has joined the progressives to work together.
At the rally ground in Ideani, Uke, Ogidi the message was the same and the reception was the same. The entourage was mobbed by crowd of excited cheering supporters.
Ezekwelu noted that "God has not disappointed me because i call on His name. Now, i understand that the voice of the people here singing praises to God,praying for my success at the polls is the voice of God and nobody can change it. He has spoken”, he said.
He informed the ecstatic crowd of that he had contracted some water engineers for the to borehole in the community to ameliorate their drinking water challenges, adding that he was seeking their support to go to the National Assembly to work for them.
