The National Coordinator, APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evang Chinedu Obigwe has blasted the former National Chairman of the party, Chief Chekwas Okorie for speaking against governor Chukwuma Soludo on media.
Okorie had in media broadcast chastised Soludo for supporting President Bola Tinubu of APC as against the NDC presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, a statement he viewed as a charade because according to him, he "lacks the moral justification to open his dirty mouth to say anything against Governor Soludo."
He further described it as "Its laughable to see a shameless backstabber and a well known rotten character called Chekwas Okorie running his dirty mouth flippantly against Governor Soludo on national television and on print media channels. For me, Chekwas Okorie is foolishly seeing Nigerians as people that have short memory, but he is wrong on that because his antecedents are well known to Nigerians.
"Chekwas Okorie remain the same man our self acclaimed Saint Peter Obi used Victor Umeh to reveal to Nigerians that when his mandate was stolen that those behind the stolen mandate bought him over to their side and he started pressurising him to abandon the Court case he instituted to retrieve the stolen mandate.
"This was the reason they gave for the unceremonious removal of Chekwas Okorie as APGA national Chairman and that alone has stripped Chekwas Okorie of the moral justification to question Governor Soludo 2027 election choices. Chekwas Okorie as an everything goes politician should stop seeking cheap popularity with Governor Soludo name because Soludo is not a chameleon like him."
He further dismissed the allegations by Okorie that Soludo was fighting Obi simply because of the Governor's decision to support Tinubu's 2nd term re-election bid noting that Obi equally supported former President Jonathan re-election bid.
" Governor Soludo as the current national leader of APGA has the overwhelming support of APGA faithfuls in his decision to support President Tinubu 2nd term re election bid. Wherever Governor Soludo stand is where we will stand and in that regards we will vote massively for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APGA candidates in Anambra in the forthcoming 2027 general election," he added.
