Friends, Associates celebrate late Philanthropist, Adimike at 54th Posthumous Birthday

 By Tobias Ekirika

Today, October 6, is your 54yrs birthday the Man who spent most of his Wealth for church and humanity.

But you are no longer here. You were gruesomely murdered in your Abuja residence - silenced in a most painful and shocking manner.

In a Tribute released to the press by his brother very Rev Fr Dr George Adimike said his brother Lucky, was murdered but his  goodness was never murdered.

His words "We remember you today not as one whose life was cut short, but as one whose life was well spent. A business mogul with a humble soul. A devout servant of God. A philanthropist whose wealth found meaning only in service to God and humanity.

To you, wealth was meaningless unless it lifted others. And lift others you did.*

Continued, Lucky was a true son of the Church. Quietly working without seeking applause, he sponsored countless Church projects, stood as a pillar of Faithspiration Initiative, the charity founded by his brother, Rev. Fr. Dr. George Adimike.

The tribute further reads "Your love for the priesthood was profound. You were a benefactor to Blessed Tansi Major Seminary, Onitsha, and All Hallows Seminary, Onitsha. You trained seminarians. You invested in the future of the Church.

In Awka-Etiti, your homeland, your name is written in love. You built the Father's House at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. You built the Infant Jesus Grotto. You revived the Block Rosary Crusade and rekindled Marian devotion. You renovated the Awka-Etiti Town Hall.

Your heart beat for the people.

You gave scholarships to indigent children. You gave seed capital to several hundred youths. You empowered youths and adults. You restored hope to families who had lost hope of educating their children.

You had a special heart for women and children. You paid hospital bills. You paid in full for every woman who delivered at Fatima Hospital, Awka-Etiti, including those who had Caesarean sections. You paid antenatal bills. You shared palliatives regularly. You supported hundreds of families in silence.

Friends call you a bridge to the poor, a father to the fatherless, a man who made wealth but was never possessed by it. A true Christian in word and deed.

Today, as we mark your posthumous 54th birthday, we do not mourn as those without hope. We celebrate you. We celebrate a legacy that death cannot erase.

As one tribute said: "Though you were murdered, your goodness was never murdered. Though you are gone, your charity lives on. Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord, dear Lucky. Your memory lives on. Your charity lives on. The tribute concluded."
