Jubilation in Anambra as court Affirms Igwe Nwankwo As Authentic Traditional Ruler Of Nawfia

 

Nawfia community in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State is agog with festivity following the high court three Awka ruling which set aside the certificate of recognition given to Dan Obele during the past administration of former Governor Willie Obiano.

The ruling restrains anybody in Nawfia from parading as Igwe or Eze of Nawfia till the case (A/53/2021) is heard, and further ruled that status quo remains, indicating that His Royal Highness Chijioke Nwankwo remains Igwe/Eze Nawfia.

Since the ruling was announced on the 21st of June 2022, Igwe Nawfia's palace and that of his late father Igwe FFBC Nwankwo(Osuofia the 1st) have remained a beehive of activities as his subjects, loyalists, friends and well wishers troupe in to pay homage to their traditional ruler who has patiently pursued his infamous suspension as traditional ruler and withdrawal of his certificate through a court of competent jurisdiction.
