Talent edition of Big Brother Nigeria calls for audition




Another reality TV show that promises to be the talent edition of Big Brother Nigeria named The Next Rated Reality TV show has announced its audition dates.
According to the show's Media and Publicity director, Mr O’star Eze, in a press release titled ‘Audition call to a 30 million naira reality TV show’, the show which would feature budding music artistes, music video directors, artiste managers and music producers of Nigerian origin would commence its audition from October 25, 2019 and end November 2 across the country. He also stated that N30 million naira worth of prizes to be won in the event which would have four finalists and run for 11 weeks and is expected to televise on DSTV.
The press statement read thus in part; “The next rated reality TV show, Season 1 is a forthcoming music reality TV show which shall have 40 housemates contest for who becomes #thenextrated artiste, #thenextrated music producer, #thenextrated music video director or  #thenextrated artiste manager.
There is a whooping N30,000,000 (Thirty million naira) worth of prizes to be won by the participants as well as an opportunity to showcase their talent on the biggest platform any aspiring muci entrepreneur can have.
“The audition has been scheduled to hold thus; Anambra, Enugu – October 25; Lagos, Ibadan, Benin – October 26; Rivers, Calabar – November 1; Abuja, Jos, Kano – November 2.

Speaking on the reason behind the reality TV show, the producer of the show, Mr Muoma Obinna said that it was a response to the call for a talent based reality TV show by Nigerians who want a repeat of the sensation experienced during the ongoing Big Brother Nigeria with a talent slant to it.
In his words, “It would be recalled that there was a widespread agitation for a talent based reality TV show by Nigerians. 
"Inasmuch as an entertainment firm, we understand the psychology and business angle BBN is coming from and have deep respect for the organisers, we felt we needed to provide a platform for the millions of Nigerian youths talented in the wide array of vocations music  offers. We also felt the Nigerian society needed to we first what the life of music entrepreneurs is like and that was what birthed this reality TV show."
