Ezeemo eulogises Etiaba at 77-year-old



Anambra based  Industrialist, Mr Godwin Ezeemo, has felicitated with Anambra former Governor ,Dame Virgy Etiaba , as she clocks 77 years of age  on  Nov. 11,and described her as his political icon.
Ezeemo  made the felicitation  with a call to the Federal Government  to immortalised her as the first female governor in Nigeria in an interview with Newsmen in Awka on Tuesday

He  said that Etiaba made a history in Nigeria when she became the first female governor between November 2006 and February 2007 with a touch of a  seasoned teacher.
“ She brought glamour to governance and proved that women could be a better state helmsmen  as her achievement in a very short period speaks volumes ,” he said .

He said that Etiaba’s  style of leadership showed that as a teacher  she had ideas  in governance and proved herself  through showoff  honesty and discipline in running affairs of the state .

Ezeemo said that she was  moral personified  who placed high premium on education and applied her wealth of experience in giving quality  leadership during her time as governor of the state.

“ She was focused in life and called governance a serious business and transformed  the state in a shortest  time with existing legacies that stood the test of time ,” he said .

He said that Etiaba was a disciplined mother who proved that women can build a nation as well as maintain a healthy home front .

“ Accountability, fairness and uprightness  was her key word and that was  one of the reasons God had kept her  in strong bones ,“ he said .

Ezeemo congratulated the first woman governor in Nigeria and prayed that her elevation would encourage other women to venture into politics to use their special grace to form a   healthy society .

“ Mama Anambra God will keep you and give  you longer life, good health so as that you would continue to  give out valuable advice to present day leaders and politicians on how to govern  for common good of the citizens,” he said .
