FRSC, NAUTH assure NYSC of good working relationship, improved services

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Anambra State command and Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi have assured corps members in the state of a good working relationship. 


The two establishments gave the assurance while receiving the State Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa and her entourage in their offices respectively.


The FRSC State Sector commander, Mr Adeoye Irelewuyi, said there had been a long existing working relationship between the two establishment, which would be sustained.


According to Irelewuyi, NYSC as catalysts in youths development and nation building, would have its corps members integrated into the Road Safety Community Development Service (CDS) and even for Primary Assignment.


He also urged the staff to be part of one of the activities scheduled for the MBER MONTHS this year which is to be organised for officers from other establishment aimed at  reorientating them on safety measures and on our highways.


Relatively, the Acting Chief Medical Director, Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Dr Joseph Ugboaja, while receiving the NYSC team in his office, said they would not relent to support the scheme to realise their health care goals in the state.


Ugboaja also maintained that the hospital would handle referral cases timely, partner the scheme in reaching out to the indegent members of the communities, assign doctors to work with corps doctors as well as donate drugs to run the camp clinic when the need arises.


Earlier the Coordinator of NYSC Anambra state Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa had intimated the Sector commander that she was in his office to familiarise with the command, appreciate them for their numerous contributions received and to appeal for continuity.


The NYSC Coordinator had during the courtesy visits apreciation both reputable establishments for their continuous support to the scheme and appealed for sustenance of the tempo.


Baderinwa specifically implored the NAUTH CMD to be asigning doctors to provide assistance and supervisory roles in camp clinic during orientation camp and to be part of the NYSC Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers.
