Independent Election Observers appoints Nnabuife as National patron

The Forum of Independent Election Observers in Nigeria (FIEON), Monday, certified Barr. Raphael Asha Nnabuife, as its National Patron.



Nnabuife is the Chairman, Idemili North Local Government Area, LGA, Anambra State as well as the State Chairman, Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON).

The National President of FIEON, Chief Dr Lazarus Nwachukwu, who presented the certificate to Nnabuife when he led a delegation to his country-home, Nkpor-Agu, Idemili North LGA, described him as a man blessed by God who has impacted positively on the society.


"Forum of Independent Election Observers in Nigeria, FIEON, is a democratic body that has helped to build governors and senators across the country. Today marks yet another milestone in the annals of the forum's dynamic and giant strides in steering the ship of the leadership of the forum to contribute it qouta positively in developing our nation's nascent democracy to international best practices and to direct it to provide the dividends of democracy to the people of our nation.


"We are here today to humbly present to our courageous and newly inspired National Patron with his letter of appointment. Asha is man of the people and a God given leader of our time with many and impeccable qualities. God has blessed him in many fronts and he is using the wealth God endowed in him to bless many other members of the society. We wish to also thank you for your love and support to us as a group. We pray that God Almighty shall enlarge your coast and bless you immeasurably, Amen," he stated. 

Responding, the FION new patron, Barr. Raphael Asha Nnabuife, represented by his personal assistant, Barr. Buchi Okechukwu, thanked the group for the honour, which according to him, would spur him to impact more positively on the populace.

  1. A well deserved appointment and honor done to whom that so much deserved such a noble upliftment And for clarity, the recognition of Hon. Barr Asha Nnabuife was in pursuit of the roles ALGON Anambra state is playing in acceptance to collaborate with the forum to make security as every person's business in the state as the forum strives to hold the service Chiefs Awards on Excellence in leadership peace building and promotion of Democracy in Nigeria. It's therefore apt to note that preparations for the award has reached a good and high level. While the national President of the forum, Dr Lazarus Nwachukwu also affirmed that the courtesy call paid to Barr. Ash'a and many other respected personalities and stakeholders in security in Anambra state is to make sure that the people of Anambra state are in the same page with the service Chiefs and the forum of independent election observers in Nigeria. More Patrons and members of the service Chiefs in Anambra state will be reached to help make this historic and avowed Awards event a hug success
