Soludo to give Anambra good governance not free money-- Obi

The founder, Tree of Life Gospel Ministry, Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Dada Obi has described Anambra State governor, Prof. Charles Soludo as godson of late Vice President, Dr Alex Ekwueme, noting that his capacity to deliver good governance was not doubt.


Obi, a foremost philanthropist of international repute, while addressing executive of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), explained that Soludo as an economist might not gift people free money but invest the resources in provision of basic amenities.



"Soludo is an economist of great repute. We need to give him maximum support. We should not follow him hard for money. He will do everything possible to change the face of Anambra State. I know him too well. He is son of former Vice President, Dr Alex Ekwueme.


"Ekwueme may not give you money. But he will give you contact to survive. I'm begging governor Soludo not to forget Journalists. He should take good care of the media. He needs the media to enthrench good governance in Anambra. I want to encourage you all to report the State positively," he stated. 


Obi, who is a patron of NUJ, also described journalists as important government, which according to him, was positioned to make or mar people and institutions.


Also speaking, the former Chairman, NUJ, Anambra State Council, Comrade Chris Aghanya, under whose tenure Dada Obi became a patron, described him as a jolly good fellow, with lots of knowledge and wisdom, and urged his successor never to rally round him. 


Earlier, the Chairman, NUJ, Anambra State Council, Dr Odogwu Emeka Odogwu stressed that NUJ was happy to associate with Obi, who according to him is a foremost philanthropist, detribalised, promoter of culture and tradition, and urged him to sustain the tempo.
