Stakeholders in Anambra hail emergence of President Tinubu, express hope

By Okechukwu Onuegbu

Some major stakeholders in Anambra State have hailed the swearing in Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, describing it as a welcome development.

Speaking in an interview, some of them, including the Anambra State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Chief Basil Ejidike, who said the outcome of the February 25th 2023 general elections was a true reflection of the masses overwhelming support.

Ejidike assured the public of transformational leadership of the Tinubu administration and urged all to be positive and pray for God’s blessings in all sector’s of the economy as He would use the president to transform the country inclusively.

Also speaking, the Chief Protocol/Deputy Chief of Staff to former Governor Willie Obiano, Chief Uzuegbuna Okagbue, described Tinubu as a transformational leader.

Okagbue, who was a senatorial aspirant for Anambra Central senatorial district, was a foremost supporter of Bola Tinubu’s presidential aspiration and had predicted that Tinubu would not only win, but will also go on to provide unrivaled delivery of good governance to the people of Nigeria.

Okagbue has reemphasised his confidence in Tinubu’s presidency project and urged all to accept the new president as God’s will for the country.

Chief Chris Elumunoh, a legal  luminary said that he was not bothered about the swearing in ceremony of Tinubu as the 16th president of Nigeria because it is a stop gap.

Elumunoh said that constitutionally since the Nigerian electoral umpire did declared him the winner of the February 23 presidential election of course the government must be in vacuum.

“ There are litigations going on in regard to the  declaration  by electoral umpire of the country, until those litigations are vacated then we can say 16th president is Tinubu.

“ I am not interested in the swearing in ceremony, it is a mere required ceremony to close a gap. the judiciary  pronouncement is my concern.

“ I am not saying  that Peter Obi must be the president nor Abubakar Atiku but let the evidence in the pronounce who won the presidential elections from evidence before it first, if it turn out to be Tinubu, fine.

“ No Nigeria past president has been sworn in without having 25 per cent votes of the FCT, so i want to see the magic of the declaration and swearing in of Tinubu that upturned the constitutional provisions,” he said.

Elumunoh said that elections injustice have been upturned in the country by the judiciary in other political seats as govern ship,Federal and Sate legislatures, as the 2023  presidential elections is its first let see what happens.

Mr Christian Beluchukwu said that he reserves his comments till the judiciary disposes the presidential elections before their table as for now it is a ceremonial president that Nigeria have.

Beluchukwu said that as a voter that he knows who is voted for and the majority of Nigerian youths voted for, we await to see if the judiciary is still the hope of the common man
