The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State command, Friday, said it has kicked off special patrol for the Christmas and New year festivities with 1000 personnel in Anambra State.
The State Sector Commander of FRSC, Mr Adeoye Irelewuyi, while speaking about the exercise during the command visit to Chief Executive Officer of Winco foam Nigeria limited, Dr Godwin Okafor, explained that the exercise would be 18 hours marathon to ensure free flow of traffics.
Irelewuyi, who posited that he command would deploy the personnel to all roads in the state to ensure seamless movement of vehicles during throughout the festive period, noted that there had been remarkable reduction in auto crashes in the State from 2022 to 2023.
He pleaded for the continuous support of the WinCo form to the command, describing it as a critical stakeholder in road safety issues.
Responding, the Chief Executive Officer of Winco foam, Dr Godwin Okafor, assured support of the company towards ensuring that the command succeed in entrusting free movement within the Yuletide and new year festival in Anambra State.
