Following the successful retirement of Sir Joseph Uchendu after serving his father land for thirty -one years and seven months, Mr Edozie Ajaegbu has taken over the mantle of leadership of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Anambra State as the State Director.
Mr.Edozie Ajaegbu was before now a Director in the National Headquarters of NOA in Abuja and a native of Umunachi in Dunukofia Local Government Area of the State.
Addressing the Management and Staff of the Agency soon after a brief handover ceremony by the out gone Director of the Agency Sir. Joseph Uchendu, held in the Director's office at the Ebele Ofunneammaka Okeke Federal Secretariat Complex Awka,the NOA new State Director, Mr Ajaegbu, said that he was impressed with the Level of achievements recorded by the Agency in Anambra State amidst paucity of funds.
The State Director, Mr.Ajaegbu,noted that the Director General of the Agency ,Mallam Isa Lanre Onilu has the passion to move the Agency to greater height through prompt implementation of people oriented programmes of the Agency at the grassroots across the Country.
He identified paucity of funds as some of the serious threat impeding the smooth implementation of the Agency's programmes in the Country and assured the Staff of the Agency in the State that his leadership would operate an open door policy, ,uphold the legacies of his predecessor, Sir Joseph Uchendu and as well work towards improving the welfare of the Staff for greater productivity in the State and beyond.
Earlier,the out gone State Director, Sir Joseph Uchendu, challenged the Management and Staff of the Agency in the thirty-six States of the Country including Abuja to support the new Director General of NOA,Mallam Isa Lanre Onilu in his quest to reposition the Agency in achieving its targets in state integration that would be beyond the negative influences of the political class in the Country.
He glorified God for the bountiful achievements he recorded in NOA all these years ,adding that no matter the depth of core challenges the Agency is facing today in the Country like improper funding that there is urgent need for adequate provision of logistics for NOA in its task of social reengineering .
Receiving the new Director on behalf of the Management and Staff of NOA in Anambra State, the Deputy Director Special Duties of the Agency in Awka,Barrister Ifeoma Chijioke,assured Mr.Ajaegbu of the unalloyed cooperation of the Management and the staff in achieving his set objectives for the Agency in Anambra State ,appealing to the out gone State Director, Sir Joseph Uchendu to always make himself available whenever his attention and advise were needed in running daily activities of the Agency for common good of the State.
