He described the economic policies of the President Tinubu led administration as one bereft of the necessary values for the economy and called on Mr President to overhaul his economic policies

He also called for the release of the detained leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) describing his continued detention as a “national embrassment”.

He noted that the people of Eastern Nigeria has suffered a lot in Nigeria and that for Nigeria to be peaceful, the Igbos must be given a chance in the National Leadership of the country.

“The unbearable pain of poverty and hunger that Nigerians are forced to endure may result to unbearable situation that may unseat the peace of this nation . Compounded by the weakening naira due to the forex exchange situation and increased pump price of fuel and electricity tariff, we pause to ponder what the leadership of country is doing to avert the looming danger or crises. As a result, Nigeria is rapidly transiting on the way to economic and political perdition. May God help our nation, Nigeria.”

“The Synod calls on the President, Ahmed Tinubu , as a matter of urgency to release Nnamdi Kanu for peace to reign. Justice delayed is justice denied. Eastern Nigeria has suffered a lot and for Nigeria to be peaceful, the Igbos must be given a chance in National Leadership of the country. The truth remains that injustice sets back a nation and once an ideology about injustice is imbibed into a people, no amount of force can quell it unless justice is done.” He said.

On the state of Anambra, the Archbishop commended the Soludo led government on the level of development so far in the state. He urged the governor not to relent in his resolve to deliver on his promises and also called on the governor’s attention to some areas in the state grappling with the menace of cultism and touting and as well look into abuse of power by some government agencies.
