A mobility tech company, MAX is currently collaborating with the Anambra State government to empower tricycle operators, enhance productivity and alleviate transportation burdens in the state.
The Head, Government Relations of the company, Mr. Deji Shobowale, who disclosed this at one-day sensitisation workshop held at Awka, the State capital on weekend, noted that they were already operating in South Western states and intend to extend to other states in the Southeast.
Also speaking, Mr Chris Jatto, Head of Growth at MAX, explained during his presentation that the company would provide tricycles to intended operators on a subscription basis with improved welfare packages.
In a remark, the Anambra State Commissioner for Transport, Barrister Patricia Igwebuike, while commending the company for the gesture, assured them of full government support towards actuslizing their aims.
The workshop, which included a demonstration of the MAX Keke, reviewed by the Commissioner for Transport, was also attended by the Head of Expansion, Mr Gbolahan Fadipe; the State permanent secretary, Ministry of Transport, Mr. Michael Obiekwe, Representatives of FRSC, police, among others.
