Anambra state traders have for once again abandoned their burstling and hustling trading business to relax and watch highly soccer artistry of members as its second edition of sports championship gets underway.
The Anambra Traders Sports Competition is organised by the Anambra State Sports Development Commission (ASSDC) in collaboration with the State Amalgamated Traders Association.
In highly entertained Onitsha zone soccer event on Friday at the Godwin Achebe Stadium, Fegge, Onitsha, the Main Market soccer team squared up against the Upholstery team in an energy sapping game.
The Upholstery soccer traders however defeated its Main Market counterparts 4-1 in a penalty shootouts after the match ended goalless at full time.
Both teams' players skillfully gave good account of themselves, thus Upholstery boys later carry the day, but not so easy a day for them.
Supporters of both teams and soccer fans within the area were treated to a scintillating soccer game at the Godwin Achebe Stadium.
The soccer event continues at both Godwin Achebe Stadium, Fegge and Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium, Onitsha for the zonal representative at the state level later in the year.
